Hi, Brad
That's what I was thinking,

so the drawings get inserted into lets say a word document
the converted into a pdf format
unlimited drawings are allowed?
the page size is 8 1/2 x 11
the boarder indents are 1 inch top, bottom and sides?
and the drawing must fit inside the borders
is it required to include cross hairs on the pages?
page number looks like it should be on top center

what else is required to file a non provisional

MINIMUM margins are:
Top and Left 1" (25 mm)
Right 5/8" (15 mm)
Bottom 3/8" (10 mm)

From How to Make Patent Drawings by Jack Lo and David Pressman:
"Crosshairs, as shown in Illustration 8.2, should be placed at opposite corners of the sight (usable portion of a sheet within the margins) to indicate its boundaries. The centers of the crosshairs should be centered on the corners, so that the outer arms of the crosshairs lie in the margins. The crosshairs can be placed on either the lower-left and upper-right or upper-left and lower-right corners, and should be about 2 cm (3/4") long."
But in Illustration 8.2 they look a lot smaller than this.

Patent It Yourself by David Pressman says they should be about 1.5 cm (0.5") long but also shows them smaller in Fig 10B.

Page number can be put in upper right corner if drawing is too close to center of upper margin.

Avoid landscape orientation whenever possible.

Sam.  I have never filed figures with cross hairs and have never had them objected to for not having cross hairs so this is not something I bother with when preparing my figures.
