How to refile a PPA

How to refile a PPA

I filed a PPA about a year ago and cannot file a full patent at this time, but being I have not made my invention public I’d like to file another PPA.  From my understanding I will lose my original date but have also heard something about referencing or citing my original PPA. What does that mean?  If I were to file again, is it the same process as when I initially filed or is there something else I need to do?

You do not reference or link between PPAs so you would just follow the same procedure as your first time. 

As you already know there are some risks/downsides to re-filing the PPA.  I wrote a post on this here:
