Re-Filing Provisional patent.

Brad: This is a follow up question to a post I sent earlier. I still can't login to reply with a follow up question. I just refiled a provisional in May 2013 to reflect some new uses of the device. The origional was filed Jan. 2013.  I refiled with new information, changed nothing to the first one, and have not shown it. Which date will I have to adhere to? Hi Dave,

Sorry about the forum login issues.  The forum is running on a different database from the main website so you would have to create a new login/password to use the forum (or you can always post as a guest here without registering).

To be safe I would use your first date (Jan. 2013) as your target date to get your non-provisional filed.  Your non-provisional application would then claim priority (i.e. be linked to) BOTH your Jan. application and your May application.
